The city of El Jadida, an exceptional mix of influences between African and European cultures, is one of the most historically places in Morocco. The city built in the 16th century was one of the first city for the explorers in West Africa.

Its intense diplomatic and commercial history began the 19th century explaining how became a very unique city with a large number of churches, mosques, synagogues and consulate, making the city of Mazagan (former name) a major port. A witness to the plurality of the world, it is today part of the World Heritage Site by the UNESCO.
